Bashundhara Group, a pioneer in sustainable practices and industrial excellence, took a proactive stance in commemorating ‘World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2024’. The initiative aimed to raise awareness and foster a culture of safety and well-being across its manufacturing units.

Against the backdrop of concerning statistics unveiled by the International Labour Organization (ILO), highlighting the pervasive health hazards posed by climate change to workers worldwide, Bashundhara Group affirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and health of its workforce.

The observance unfolded across key manufacturing units including Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd (BPML), Bashundhara Multi Paper Industries Ltd. (BMPIL), Bashundhara Industrial Complex Ltd. (BICL), and Bashundhara Multi Steel Industries Ltd (BMSIL) project led by senior leaders including Tanweer-Ul-Islam - Chief Advisor BPML, Unit-2, SM Sorowar, Head of Project BPML Plant -1; Md. Abul Hasan, Head of Project BPML Plant-  3; and Md. Lutfor Rahman, Chief Engineer & Head of Plant, BICL Md. Shamshad Malik, Acting Head of Project BPML Plant -2. All Head of projects delivered poignant statements and speeches, urging for necessary actions to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees.

Safwan Sobhan, Vice Chairman of Bashundhara Group lauded the Sector-C team for their proactive stance, emphasizing their dedication to fostering a culture of safety and well-being within the organization. This resolute approach underscores Bashundhara Group's unwavering commitment to excellence and sustainability in all facets of its operations.

The event featured a series of briefing sessions, and rallies, aimed at empowering employees with knowledge and tools to mitigate climate-related health risks. Mohammad Towfique Hasan, Head of Division, Marketing, Business Development & Sustainability, delivered a poignant message emphasizing the importance of sustainability initiatives and their integration into the organizational fabric.
