A group of foreign investors visited the Bangladesh Special Economic Zone (BSEZ) in Araihazar, Narayanganj today (April 8), marking the second day of the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025.
As part of the visit, Swedish company Nilorn’s local unit, Nilorn Bangladesh Limited, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BSEZ to establish a new manufacturing facility within the zone.
The agreement was signed by Nilorn Bangladesh Limited’s Managing Director Mohammad Abdul Quyum and BSEZ Managing Director Taro Kawachi.
On the summit’s opening day, investors had toured the National Special Economic Zone in Mirsharai, Chattogram.
The four-day Bangladesh Investment Summit, which began on Monday, aims to highlight the country’s dynamic investment climate and its potential for significant economic transformation.
During the opening session of Bangladesh Startup Connect 2025, Tanveer Ali, Chairman of Constellation Asset Management Company Ltd, delivered the keynote speech.
The high-level plenary session was moderated by Sharetrip Co-Founder and CEO Sadia Haque, and featured a distinguished panel including Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of BIDA; Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, ICT Division; Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank; Dr. Md. Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Secretary of the Finance Division; and Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the ICT Division and Chairman of Startup Bangladesh Ltd.
