DHAKA: Country's stock markets marked fall in its price indices on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 26 points only to stand at 4,384 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 67,647 with volume of transactions at Tk 2,587 million.

Of the issues traded, 87 advanced, 159 declined and 45 remained unchanged.

SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 201 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, PRIMEBANK, HEIDELBCEM, GP ORIONPHARM, HWAWELLTEX, ABBANK, MATINSPINN and ACTIVEFINE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,435 by dropping over 37 points.

Out of the issues traded, 60 gained, 120 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
