DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) has introduced opening bank account for the street and worker children.

As part of the banking system, a total of 300 new accounts have been opened through a programme at Bangla Academy on Saturday morning. 

Six public and private commercial banks will operate the accounts.

Governor of the central bank Dr Atiur Rahman, deputy governors Khandaker Ibrahim Khaled and SK Sur Chowdhury were among others present on the occasion.
