Teletalk recharge card shortage

DHAKA:  Users of Teletalk, the state-run mobile operator, are facing shortage of recharge card across the capital.

Visiting various area of the city and talking to concerned people banglanews investigation found the authenticity.

A shopkeeper named Mahitul Islam of Dhanmandi Crescent road area told banglanews, “The crisis of Teletalk card is not new matter. Most of the time, we failed to provide the recharge card to customers and now the crisis escalate.”

Besides, Jamshed Ahmed, another shopkeeper from Mirpur, complained on teletalk recharge card. 

Sources said the shortage was due to poor supply of recharge cards by Teletalk Marketing department to retailers.

Other mobile phone operators including Grameen, Robi used to supply recharge cards everyday.  On the other hand, Teletalk employees used to supply cards after every two or three days that create the shortage in retail shops.

Regarding the matter, Teletalk Deputy Managing Director (marketing) Shah Zulfiqar Haider told banglanews, retail sellers don’t want to keep more recharge cards which made the crisis.”
