DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith opined that brick-fields should be banned as it decreases fertility of land.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a seminar at Bidyut Bhaban in city on Tuesday.

Muhith said that a time-limit can be fixed to close the brick-fields in the country.

Giving importance to stop brick-fields the finance minister said that it is very important to close them. Public awareness is needed in this regard. 

State minister for power, energy and mineral resources ministry Nasrul Hamid was present as special guest at the program, chaired by Tapas Kumar Roy, additional secretary of Power Division.
