DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 32 points to stand at 4376 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 49501with transaction at Tk 1,861 million. Of the issues traded, 193 advanced, 56 declined and 42 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 226 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, SQURPHARMA, OLYMPIC, APOLOISPAT, BXPHARMA, LAFSURCEML, EHL, UNITEDAIR and FARCHEM.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8328 by gaining over 35 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 113 gained, 51 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
