DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 89 points to stand at 5233 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 126803 with transaction at Tk 6,942 million. Of the issues traded, 227 advanced, 41 declined and 33 remained unchanged.

MJLBD topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 324 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were KPCL, SQURPHARMA, GP, RSRMSTEEL, TITASGAS, IDLC, BXPHARMA, CITYBANK and LAFSURCEML.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9823 by gaining over 145 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 143 gained, 53 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
