HSBC delegate visits HWP-WaterAid project in Sylhet

DHAKA: A high level delegation consisting of Kathy B Wong, Senior Vice President, Corporate Sustainability, Asia Pacific; Francois de Maricourt, CEO, HSBC Bangladesh and Talukdar Noman Anwar, Head of Communications, HSBC Bangladesh paid visit to HSBC Water Programme (HWP) supported project of WaterAid in Sylhet on Wednesday.

Being impressed by the transformational changes happening in the project area, Wong said, “It feels good to experience how our contribution is transforming the lives of the poor and marginalized people.”  

The project is being implemented targeting socially excluded tea garden workers to transform their lives through providing access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services. 

HSBC has been supporting WaterAid since 2012 with around USD 3.12 million to create WASH access for poor and marginalized people of northeast and northwest regions of Bangladesh.
