DHAKA: Agricultural Marketing Company Ltd AMCL (PRAN) has declared 32 per cent dividend to its shareholders for the year 2013-2014, said a press release.

The announcement came from the 29th Annual General Meeting of Agricultural Marketing Company Ltd held at Trust Milonayaton, 545 Old Airport Road, Dhaka Cantonment in the city on Wednesday.

Lt Col Mahtabuddin Ahmed (Retd), Chairman, Maj Gen Amjad Khan Chowdhury (Retd), Managing Director, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director, Sabiha Amjad, Director, M. A. Mannan, Independent Director, Uzma Chowdhury, Director Finance, Md. Eleash Mridha, Executive Director, Choudhury Atiur Rasul, Chief Financial Officer,  Chowdhury Kamruzzaman, Director Marketing, and Muhammad Aminur Rahman Company Secretary attended the function.

Shareholders thanked the management for achievements of the Company over the years and made valuable suggestions for improvement in running the business of the Company. They re-iterated their profound confidence in the management.

It was reported that in spite of stiff competition in the market, the pre-tax profit of the Company was Tk 70.70 million in 2013-14 while gross turnover was Tk                                                                             1934.56 million and the total export figure was Tk 235.3 million (including incentive).

The AGM ended by seeking continued support of the investors of the Company and with a vote of thanks to the chair.
