Stocks witness fall Sunday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 40 points only to stand at 4892 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 77,501 with volume of transactions at Tk 2005 million.

Of the issues traded, 103 advanced, 170 declined and 33 remained unchanged.

AGNISYSL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 141 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were RNSPIN, SAPORTL, GP, BXPHARMA, KEYACOSMET, BEXIMCO, TUNGHAI, BDTHAI and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9167 by dropping over 88 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 60 gained, 175 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
