DHAKA: Holcim Cement (Bangladesh) Ltd has appointed Sumanta Pandit as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) recently.

Sumanta Pandit, however, joined Holcim Bangladesh from Emirates Cement, a subsidiary of Ultratech India, where he was heading the business in Bangladesh as Country Manager, said a press release on Wednesday.

Prior to this, he had also worked for various multinational cement companies in different management positions, the release added.

Moreover, in his long career in the cement industry, Sumanta Pandit worked in various countries, including, Switzerland, Oman, Kuwait, Sri Lanka and Sudan.

According to the release, with 22 years of exposure in the industry, Sumanta Pandit brings with him considerable regional and international experience.
