Stocks end lower Monday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Monday.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 15 points only to stand at 4,926 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 57297 with volume of transactions at Tk 2044 million.

Of the issues traded, 86 advanced, 186 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 191 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SAIFPOWER, GP, WMSHIPYARD, MJLBD, AGNISYSL, OLYMPIC, BXPHARMA, KPCL and DESCO.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9,131 by dropping over 34 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 55 gained, 152 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
