Stocks end lower Monday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Monday.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 50 points only to stand at 4,867 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 93948 with volume of transactions at Tk 2851 million.

Of the issues traded, 44 advanced, 232 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

NFML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 361 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, BBS, IDLC, AGNISYSL, LAFSURCEML, WMSHIPYARD, SAIFPOWER, KPCL and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9,077 by dropping over 59 points. 

Out of the issues traded, 29 gained, 149 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
