An inter-ministerial meeting held at the Energy, Power and Mineral Resources Ministry with state minister for power Mohammad Enamul Haque in the chair, took the decision Sunday noon.

However, the meeting did not take any concrete decision on the matter, said a competent source.

An official, on condition of anonymity, told banglanews24.com.bd that another inter-ministerial meeting would sit next week to decide on the matter.

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission and National Board of Revenue officials are asked to attend the meeting.

According to Power Ministry, some 2,000MW power has been generated from captive power. Of these, 1200 MW comes from large generator and the rest 800 MW generated from small generators.
