Stocks witness fall Sunday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The key index of Dhaka Stocks Exchange, DSEX, shed over 60 points to stand at 4,036 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 1,15311 with volume of transactions at Tk 4,149 million.

Of the issues traded, 73 advanced, 196 declined and 22 remained unchanged.

TALLUSPIN topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 201 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, CMCKAMAL, RNSPIN, UNITEDAIR, GP, MPETROLEUM, LANKABAFIN, HEIDELBCEM and BANGAS.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7,876 by dropping over 106 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 53 gained, 153 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
