Bengal Plastics Ltd Receives LEED Gold Certificate

Bengal Plastics Ltd is awarded LEED Gold Certification by the US Green Building Council, making it the first plastics factory in Bangladesh to receive this distinction. 

Bengal Plastics Ltd achieved Gold-Level Certification by implementing a number of measures, including installations of energy-efficient lighting, using recycled materials, solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and tree plantation. 

These efforts demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainable operations, which will help reduce its environmental footprint. 

This achievement is one of the major milestones for the plastics industry in Bangladesh to set a new standard in achieving sustainable development. 

The award was received by The Vice Chairman of Bengal Group of Industries Mr Md Jashim Uddin, Director-Mr Humayun Kabir (Bablu) and other high officials of Bengal Group of Industries. This certification is handed over by Mr Mahendra S Jayalath; CEO of Energy Solve International (Pvt) Ltd. nominated awarding partner of LEED Certification.

Bengal Plastics Ltd has received National Export Trophies in Gold Category for consecutive 13 years in a row for outstanding performances in export.
