Stocks witness fall Sunday

DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 18 points only to stand at 4,280 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 118,362 with volume of transactions at Tk 4976 million.

Of the issues traded, 115 advanced, 131 declined and 42 remained unchanged.

GOLDENSON topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 216 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GOLDENSON, ENVOYTEX, DELTALIFE, PTL CVOPRL, GENNEXT, BENGALWTL, DELTASPINN, ARGONDENIM and GHAIL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,405 by dropping over 31 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 88 gained, 111 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
