DHAKA: Investors witnessed negligible gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 21 points to stand at 3,967 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

The volume of transactions stood Tk 3,518 million with 92,691 trade deals.   

Of the issues traded, 172 advanced, 88 declined and 24 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 158 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GENNEXT, NBL, UCBL, MALEKSPIN, ENVOYTEX, ARGONDENIM, GP, APEXADELFT and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,762 by gaining over 21 points.

Out of the issues traded, 92 gained, 93 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
