The Department of General Education (GED) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a Seminar titled “Education as a tool for empowerment” on July 11, 2023. 

The Keynote was given by Musharraf Tansen who is Bangladesh Country Representative of Malala Fund.

The Seminar started with a welcome speech by Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan, head of the General Education Department, at ULAB. The speaker Tansen in his speech focused on the process of empowerment through education enables individuals to access new information and knowledge,  acquire new skills,  and initiate action aimed at gaining greater control over resources of various kinds.

At the last stage, the discussion became livelier through the question and answer session of the distinguished scholars, anthropologists, researchers, guests, ULAB faculties and students participating in the seminar.
