The Department of General Education (GED) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a Seminar titled “How circumstances changed the attitude of intellectuals towards South Asian Sufism” on August 22, 2023.

The Keynote was given by Dr Amit Dey who is Asutosh Professor of Medieval and Modern Indian History, University of Calcutta, West Bengal, India.

The Seminar started with a welcome speech by Professor Dr. Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor

ULAB. The speaker Amit Dey in his speech focused on the process of interpreting sufism which kept on changing due to changing socio economic and other developments.

At the last stage, the discussion became livelier through the question and answer session of the distinguished scholars, anthropologists, researchers, guests, ULAB faculties and students participating in the seminar
