Dhaka University (DU) authorities assured to enroll 20 Palestinian students, every year and provide them with scholarships including accommodation facilities.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr ASM Maksud Kamal on Tuesday made the assurance to the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Bangladesh Mr Yousef S.Y. Ramadan in a meeting.

According to meeting, the ambassador requested the vice-chancellor to grant admission who are interested in studying at the DU, according to local media reports.

The VC also strongly condemned and protested the massacres and inhuman atrocities of the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza.

Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zillur Rahman, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, Director of International Affairs Office Prof Dr. Shamsad Mortuza, and Director of Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam were present on this occasion.
