The government on Thursday (June 20) decided to postpone the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and other equivalent examinations in Sylhet division until July 8.

The authorities took the decision following the worsening flood situation in Sylhet and its districts. 

However, the exams slated for June 30 will now be held from July 9 onwards.

MA Khair, public relations officer of the Ministry of Education, confirmed the matter.
