The government will reopen primary schools on Sunday (August 4) on a limited scale after a long break, following the evolving situation due to the student movement over quota reform issues.
However, the schools in 12 city corporations across the country and Narsingdi municipality will remain closed due to the prevailing volatile situation, Farid Ahmed, secretary of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry, told the Daily Sun on Wednesday.
He said the decision was taken during a joint meeting of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry and the Directorate of Primary Education.
