Members of law enforcement agencies apprehended 53 students who allegedly entered the secretariat building in the capital breaking police barriers and demanding cancellation of HSC results.

They were arrested around 3:50 on Wednesday (Oct 23).

Earlier, some students entered the secretariat on Wednesday afternoon demanding the cancellation of HSC results.

Around 3 PM, defying the police barrier, a group of students entered the secretariat and took position in front of number 6 Bhaban.

At one stage, army and police personnel charged baton on them and the protesters fled away.
