The interim government decided to waive tuition fees for students injured in the ongoing anti-discrimination movement. 

The Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education issued a circular on Tuesday (Oct 29) announcing this decision.

According to the circular, students from secondary to university levels—including all government and private schools, colleges, madrasas, technical institutions, and universities—will have their tuition fees waived if they were injured in the protests.

Injured students are advised to apply to the head of their institution with medical documents. Upon verification, the institution will arrange for the tuition waiver.

The waiver applies to all educational institutions across the country, covering the student’s current academic level up to university. 

The circular further instructs all concerned institutions to take immediate action to implement this decision.
