Outgoing Education Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud has announced that festival allowances, entertainment allowances, house rent, and other benefits for MPO-enlisted private teachers will be increased.

He made the announcement on Wednesday (March 5), at a farewell reception held at the Ministry of Education’s conference room, where he was bid farewell and new Education Adviser C R Abrar was welcomed.

Wahiduddin Mahmud said that while it is not possible to address 15-20 years of deprivation within one or two budgets, efforts will be made to fulfill the demands as much as possible in the upcoming budgets. 

He emphasized that starting the process is crucial, and the groundwork has already been laid.

He further mentioned that festival allowances, entertainment allowances, house rent, and medical allowances for MPO teachers will see an increase from this year’s Eid-ul-Azha, with necessary budget provisions included in this and next year’s budget.
