A group of Dhaka University (DU) students have announced a solidarity programme protesting the expulsion of 37 students from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), calling the decision "unjust."

Mosaddek Billah, a student of DU’s Bangla Department, shared the announcement in a press release issued on Tuesday (April 15).

In a related move, students of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) are set to form a human chain at 1 pm to protest the KUET administration’s actions. 

Both current and former BUET students are expected to join the demonstration.

Separately, the Bangladesh Democratic Students’ Union has scheduled a press conference over the issue at 2 pm at Dhaka University’s Madhur Canteen.
