RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: Chhatra Shibir, a student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, has called strike in Rajshahi University demanding the arrest of attackers of Shibir leader Rasel Alam. 

They called the strike as police failed to arrest the attackers till Wednesday.

Publicity Secretary of RU Shibir unit Farhad Reza issued a press release about the matter.

Regarding the incident, RU Proctor Professor M Tariqul Hassan told banglanews they were informed about the strike and administration would take necessary steps to remain the situation normal.

Alamgir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Matihar Police Station, said police would remain alert to avert any unwanted situation.

On June 16, Shibir leader Rasel Alam was injured by the attacks of alleged Chhatra League activists.

Later, Shibir declared 4-day program from June 22 demanding the arrest of the accused.
