JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: Students of Jahangirnagar University staged protest as the authorities decided to keep all halls closed during Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja.

Earlier, the university authorities declared the university closed of all the dormitories till October 11 starting from nine days ago.

Sources told banglanews that the students, who are living in the halls, on Saturday requested Vice-Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam to cancel the decision.

The protesting students told her that the decision will harm a lot of those students, who are working besides studying.

However, university teacher M Shahedur Rashid said that a meeting has been scheduled on Sunday to review the decision.
