DHAKA: Police detained 16 admission seekers from Dhaka University (DU) campus on Sunday allegedly for creating unstable in the area.

Shahbagh Thana Officer-in-Charge Sirajul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the law enforcers detained the 16 people on request of the university authorities.

However, the admission seekers were demonstrating for second chance for entry test in DU.

The detainees were produced before the court under section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the OC added.
