DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday will inaugurate the free ‘book distribution ceremony’ by handing over books to a few students from Class I to IX at Gono Bhaban after publishing the results of Primary School Certificate (PSC) and equivalent examinations.

Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman made the disclosure the matter to journalists.

He further said Education Ministry and Primary and Mass Education Ministry will jointly organize the ‘Boi Utsab’ at Motijheel Government Boys High School on January 1 of 2015.

Like previous years, the government will freely distribute about 35 crore new books to 4.44 crore students of Primary and Secondary Schools of the country on the first day of the year, he added.
