DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Detective Branch of police detained 12 people for alleged question paper leak ahead of 'Ka' Unit entry test of Dhaka University (DU) that is scheduled to be held on Friday.

In overnight drives on Thursday, they were picked up from different places of the city, DU acting proctor professor D AM Amjad told banglanews.

The proctor also said that being informed about question paper leak, firstly DB police detained Jubayer, an admission seeker, from city’s Farmgate area.

Later, based on the information given by the detainee, Detectives picked up nine suspected members of a forgery gang.

DB additional deputy commissioner (North Zone) Mahfuzul Islam told banglanews that the detainees have been earning money by alluring general students to provide leaked question papers. They remained active some days before different examinations.
