DHAKA: The admission process for government schools in city will begin on November 30.

Admission for class 1 will be held through lottery while admission from class 2 to class 8 will be held through examinations.

Moreover, the admission for class 9 will follow the results of the respective student’s Junior School Certificate (JSC) or Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) result.

The decision was made at a meeting of headmasters of schools at higher education directorate in city on Tuesday.

However, 40 percent area quota will be followed in admission, the meeting sources added.

The application form for school admission will be available from 12:01am on November 30 to 11:59pm on December 13 on www.gsa.teletalk.com.bd.
