DHAKA: The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) offered scholarships to meritorious Bangladeshi students for the academic session 2016-17 to pursue various courses in India at the Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD level.
The scholarship, however, will not cover studies in Medicine, says a press release issued by the High Commission of India to Bangladesh on Monday.
The scholarships will be distributed under the Bangladesh Scholarship Scheme, India Scholarship Scheme and Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme.
Candidates are required to have proficiency in English and should have secured minimum 60 percent marks or GPA 3 out of GPA 5 in the qualifying examination, the release added.

Candidates should download and fill (typed and not handwritten), the application form, affix scanned copy of photo, sign (scan of signatures by hand) and e-mail the same as a pdf document along with relevant attachments at any of the following e-mail addresses:

The last date of submission of application forms by email is 5:00pm on Thursday (December 10).
An English Proficiency Test (EPT) will be conducted at the three abovementioned locations for eligible applicants on Saturday (December 12).
The English Proficiency Test will be held in batches from 11:00am onwards at all three locations (exact venue to be notified in due course) and the duration of each test is 30 minutes.
Applicants are advised that hard copies of the application forms, with supporting documents (duly certified), have to be submitted in two copies by those who qualify for the interview.
