36th BCS Preliminary test held

DHAKA: The preliminary test of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) will be held on Friday (January 8) with participation of more than two lakh job seekers.

The two-hour test started at 9:30am at 162 centers in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur divisions.

Earlier, Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) had imposed ban on carrying all kinds of electronic devices including wristwatch, calculator, mobile phone sets in test.

According to BPSC issued notice, the authorities concerned assured to arrange wall-clocks in examination halls.

The public service commission has issued a circular on May 31 for appointing a total of 2,180 first class gazetted-officers through written test, viva, and medical checkup.
