ULAB Camp Outing-2016 with club members

DHAKA: ULAB Co-Curricular office organized a “Camp Outing with all ULAB club members” at the permanent campus in city’s Mohammedpur area on November 17.

All the participants had to register for the event and it commenced with them gathering and taking part in light exercises.

After the workout, there was an arrangement for “Traditional Bangladeshi Breakfast” which included Pitha, boiled egg and tea, said a press release.
 
Following the breakfast, students were grouped into four teams: Team Oolala, Team Cross, Team Winner and Team Oasis, which consisted of seven members each.

Each team had to compete against each other through various games.

The first game was volleyball using towels to serve and receive which was followed by “Treasure Hunt” where every member were blindfolded except a guide on the team, who had to direct the participants into the treasure point without talking; just by using motion movements of hand.

Each team formed a human train from where they guided each other to find the hidden treasures.

The last game was called “Around the World”, in which the participants had to run against a competitor group member to a point, where they had to lock their forehead on a stump and rotate around it for 10 times and then again had to run to the starting point.

Only a few could finish it up as most of them fell along the way as they couldn’t bear the world spinning around them.

In between the games, there was a Food preparation competition among Clubs. Each club was given four Maggie Noodles, one egg and a few potatoes.

They were given a total of 60 minutes within which they had to make their own fire and stove using the debris scattered throughout the land. There was a task of dressing the food for showcasing it to the judges.

There was a lunch break soon, which was followed by performances from each team where there was drama, music and dance.

In the last segment of the event, a Campfire was arranged where there a musical performance by Mr. Moinak Kanugo, Adviser of ULAB Adventure Club, Lecturer of ULAB School of Business.

The program soon came to end with speeches from Dr. Pinki Shah, Coordinator of ULAB Co-Curricular office, Associate professor of ULAB School of Business as well as from honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor H.M. Jahirul Haque.  

The distribution of Barbeque soon followed after the conclusion of the program.
