DHAKA: Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Tuesday (January 10) acknowledged the errors found in the textbooks freely distributed by the government for 2017.

He said: “We never said that we won’t make any mistake.”

He was addressing a press briefing at secretariat in the afternoon.

Nahid also said that a committee has started investigation to find out the reasons of mistakes. “Actions will be taken as per the committee’s recommendation.”

Requesting the media not to highlight the matter negatively, the minister said: “We have made steady progress in the education sector in past and will keep it up in the future.”
