DHAKA UNIVERSITY: A statue of Father of the Nation,  Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be installed at ‘7th March Building’ adjacent to the Begum Rokeya Hall on Dhaka University (DU) campus. 

DU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Saturday morning (May 6) visited the venue of Shahnewaz Hostel of the university where the statue is being constructed. After the construction, it will be installed at the fixed place.  

The DU VC expressed satisfaction over the progress of construction of the statue. He asked the authorities concerned to install the sculpture in due time.

Professor Nisar Hossain, dean of the faculty of fine arts, Professor Dr Nazma Shahin, provost of Rokeya Hall and project director, and some other teachers and sculptors were present there, among others.
