DHAKA: Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Insurance Institute of India (III) on Tuesday (Nov 28) at the University’s Banani Campus.

Prof. William H. Derrenger, Vice Chancellor of Canadian University of Bangladesh and P. Venugopal, Secretary General of Insurance Institute of India, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.

Founder and Chairman of Cub Board of Trustees Dr. Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat was present at the event as chief guest. The main objects of the MoU are academic cooperation and research in the fields of Insurance and Actuarial Science.

CUB business school chief SM Arifuzzaman directed the accord signing ceremony while director of Insurance Institute of India (III) A Mukharjee, Professor (Research and NON Life) Dr. George E. Thomas, Prof. Archana Vej, managing director of LIC Bangladesh Ltd. Arup Das Gupta, Cub registrar Brig. Gen (Rtd) Md Asaduzzaman Subohani, Proctor and head of career service wing business school associate prof. Hanif Mahtab, deputy registrar Johra Naznin and marketing manager Mahbubul Karim Shahin among others were present.
