DHAKA: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said he is considering the low pass rate in SSC and equivalent examinations as a positive sign.

The minister made the remarks while highlighting the details of the results in secretariat on Sunday (May 6).

Nahid said quality of education has improved even though pass rate has fallen. It also proves that examiners are thoroughly checking the answer sheet. 

Expressing satisfaction on the overall assessment, the education minister said steps will be taken after analyzing the minor mistakes that occurred in the examination process.
