DHAKA: The results of this year's Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations have been published with a pass rate of 97.60% on average.

Separately, the pass rate in PEC is 97.59 per cent while in Ebtedayee, it was 97.69 per cent.

Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Ganabhaban around 10am on Monday.

Education Minister Nurul Islam was also present there.

Primary and Mass Education Minister will formally announce the results from his ministry office later in the day.
                                              
This year a total 26,52,896 students appeared at PSC while 2,74,907 at Ebtedayee examination.
 
The examinations began on November 18 and ended on November 26.
