DHAKA: Education Minister Dipu Moni said all the coaching centers will remain closed from April 1 to May 6 in a bid to hold the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations fairly.

The decision has been taken to hold the exams in free, fair and cheat-free manner, she added. 

On Monday (March 25), Dipu Moni was addressing a press briefing after holding a meeting on law & order situations for the exams.

Education ministry’s secondary and higher secondary division secretary Sohrab Hossain, Technical and madrasha division secretary Md Alamgir, chairmen of different education boards and law enforcement officials attended the briefing.

However, this year’s HSC and equivalent exams will start on April 1 and continue till May 11.

Practical exams will begin on May 12 and end on May 21.
