CHANDPUR: Education Minister Dipu Moni said monitoring is going to be stepped up in educational institutions.

She said: "We have strengthened monitoring and surveillance in all educational institutions  from Ministry of Education through the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Technical and Madrasa Education Division.”

“We are also thinking of online monitoring. Soon, we will take such measures,” Dipu Moni  told reporters after inaugurating the 48th summer sports competition of   national schools, madrasas and technical educational institutions at Durgapur High School ground in Haimchar upazila of the district on Saturday (September 7).

Dipu Moni said: “We are now trying to incorporate values into our education, in line with the changes that have taken place in our education system over the past 10 years. Values must be instilled into students from childhood.”

Local political leaders and administrative officials also attended the ceremony.

The education minister distributed essential items among fishermen, cash money and tin to flood victims apart from opening a 3-day agricultural fair.
