DHAKA: Abrar Faiaz, younger brother of murdered BUET student Abrar Fahad, has taken Transfer Certificate from Dhaka College.

11th grader Abrar Faiaz wants to study at Kushtia Government College, which is located in his home town.

According to an official of college branch of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, Abrar Faiaz applied for TC in a specialized manner, which was granted on Tuesday (October 15).

Following Fahad murder, his younger brother’s security has been at issue for a few days. Relatives expressed concern over his security. Law Minister Anisul Huq said if Abrar Faiaz seeks cooperation from law enforcement agencies, the government is ready to extend cooperation.  However, if he thinks he needs security, the government will consider it.

Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and electronic engineering department at BUET, was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.

He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory early Monday.

The deceased’s father filed the case with Chawkbazar Police Station.
