A total of 10,964 candidates have provisionally passed the written test of 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination. 

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) published the result on Wednesday evening.  

Israt Jahan Ishita, public relations officer of PSC, confirmed the matter.

The results will be available on PSC website (www.bpsc.gov.bd). Moreover, applicants can also get the results by sending SMS to state-owned mobile phone operator Teletalk. To do so, applicants have to go the phone's SMS option and type: PSC40Registration number, and send it to 16222. Results will be send to them through a return SMS. 

The oral exam will begin from February 16 and schedules will be disclosed in due time by PSC authorities. 

The preliminary test results of the 40th BCS were published in July 25 last year. A total of 20,277 candidates passed the test attended by 4,12,532 candidates.

PSC published the circular of 40th BCS examination on September 11 in 2018 for the recruitment to 1903 cadre posts.
