The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have decided to reopen the residential halls on October 11 for the students.

As per decision, all dormitories of the university will be reopened on October 11 and classes will resume from October 21.

The decision was taken at virtual syndicate meeting presided over Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Farzana Islam on Saturday night. 

The syndicate members and JU Treasurer Professor Dr Rasheda Akhtar confirmed the matter.

The academic classes will be taken both online and in person, he said, adding the central library will also be reopened for students.
