Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University Press Limited (UPL) on December 7, 2021. The purpose of this MoU is to publish the second edition of the book titled “Bangladesh National Culture and Heritage: An Introductory Reader”.

IUB Vice Chancellor Tanweer Hasan, PhD and Managing Director of UPL Ms. Mahrukh Mohiuddin signed the MoU on behalf of the two organizations. 

This revised edition would offer readers a comprehensive illustration of the history, society and culture of Bangladesh. Recent archeological discoveries are incorporated and the development in modern education, science and technology are also reviewed in this edition.

Dr. A Majeed Khan, Lead Editor of the book and also President Emeritus of IUB, Professor Syed Mohammad Shahed, one of the editors of the book and also the Vice Chancellor of the Tagore University of Creative Arts (TUCA), Mr A Quaiyum Khan, Founder Trustee of IUB, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Treasurer Khandker Md Iftekhar Haider, Mr. Altaf Hossain, Former Director General of the Department of Archaeology, Mr. Muhammad Hossam Haider Chowdhury, Librarian, IUB, Mr. Hasan Saimum Wahab, Assistant Director of IUB and the Associate Editor of the book and Mr. Babul Dhar, Manager UPL were also present on the occasion.
