Bollywood top 10 romantic songs

DHAKA: The songs, which earned popularity among the Hindi music lovers in 2013, are described so far for the readers of banglanews24.com. This list has been picked from bollywood.celebden.com.

Be Intehaan

‘Be Intehaan’ is a very pleasant Bollywood romantic song from ‘Race 2’, featuring the passionate and intense vocals of Atif Aslam with support by Sunidhi Chauhan.

Mayur Puri’s soulful lyric perfectly matches the mellifluous music.

Pritam scores yet again, with some nice guitar strumming used throughout the song. The beats are light and the mush-factor is high.

Teri Jhuki Nazar

Shafqat Amanat Ali proves yet again why he is one of the most sought after singers from Pakistan. ‘Teri Jhuki Nazar’ makes your heart skip a beat, all thanks to the romantic flavour of the track.

A very soft number with superb soft stringed guitar strummings and lofty drum kicks. Sayeed Quadri’s extremely amiable lyric is a hit. Pritam has again proved his flashy skills. Mesmerizing!

Khamakha

‘Khamakha’ is an all-out romantic track that sweeps the die-hard romantics right off their feet. It is a mushy romantic ballad rendered by Vishal Bhardwaj.

He is supported well by Gulzar’s beautiful lyrics, while Prem Dehati infuses a folk touch to the number, behind the mike. It is a very soulful number having pure musical delight to hear.

Tu Hi Tu

‘Tu Hi Tu’ is a gem of a number, highly intense and passionate, sung by the versatile singer Ayushman Khurrana himself.

The song has a dreamy feel to it, with mind blowing lyrics by Kausar Munir. Composed by Mikey McCleary, this one has to be a chart buster of 2013.

Yaaram

‘Yaaram’ is the first song of ‘Ek Thi Daayan’, crooned beautifully by Sunidhi Chauhan.

The films lead actress, Kalki is seen strumming the guitar and crooning all the things she would do for her someone special. Gulzar’s wonderful words are very light on the ears and poetic.

Tum Hi Ho

Mithoon’s contribution ‘Tum Hi Ho’ is undoubtedly the best number in the entire album. With a heavy and deep voice of Arijit Singh, the song is soulful, extremely touching and literally dripping with melody.

With each subsequent hearing, the song sounds better. There is a reprise version of it too, a duet where Palak Muchal gives Arijit Singh superb company and is as good as the original.

Subhanallah

The love ballad is beautifully rendered by Sreeram and Shilpa Rao. It is a falling-in-love song that is easy on the ears, and slowly grows on you with every hearing.

It is perfect to woo diehard romantics. However, this time, Pritam is not at his melodic best.

Ambarsariya

This is undoubtedly one of the sleekest tracks of recent times. It is a romantic number with a Punjabi folk tune.

Sona Mohapatra is class apart, enthralling you with her raw, sonorous vocals. It presents a super breezy composition, with the harmonium and guitar romancing each other.

However, the music not for once over powers the singer’s voice.

Tum Tak

People can express their love even better with Javed Ali’s track ‘Tum tak’. Quite a mushy number, ‘Tum Tak’ speaks of a person who is obsessed with his lover.

The number has so many different shades to it. If there is a simple raga, there is traditional qawwali and bhajan, too.

The shehnai and tabla combination only adds to the spiritual touch.

While Javed Ali croons the song with loads of love and passion, Pooja Av and Keerti Sagathia support him well. Music maestro, AR Rahman has included the regional flavour in this track.

Sawaar Loon

Sung by Monali Thakur, the song becomes more interesting as it progresses. It is a very melodious and rhythmic. The new age composer-lyricist duo, Amit-Amitabh carve out a gem; Sawaar Loon will difinetely be remembered for a very long time.
