Renowned actor Shakib Khan, dubbed the "King Khan" of Dhallywood, officially unveiled the logo of the newly named Dhaka Capitals in city’s Gulshan on Wednesday.

Accompanying him at the launch actor Mamnoon Hasan Emon and Dhaka Capitals CEO Atique Fahad, among other notable figures were present. The name "Dhaka Capitals" was chosen following an enthusiastic voting process that engaged cricket fans.

Expressing his excitement, Shakib Khan remarked, “The response from cricket lovers around the world was overwhelming. We prioritized everyone’s opinions in selecting 'Dhaka Capitals,' and with your continued love and support, I am confident that we will achieve great success.”
Shakib Khan's involvement in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) follows the trend set by Bollywood icons such as Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Juhi Chawla, and Shilpa Shetty, who have similarly engaged with teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
